At this time, the Hall of Fame requires all unvaccinated guests to wear masks and practice physical distancing. Free single-use masks will be available at the Museum entrance for guests upon request.
Within the Museum, all exhibit spaces are open and functional. When they enter the Museum, guests may request a free rubber-tipped stylus to use when interacting with touch-screens and buttons.
More than 25 hand sanitizing stations have also been placed throughout the Museum.
Protective clear acrylic shields have been installed at the Museum admission desk and at check-out counters within the Museum Store.
All employees will be given a temperature check each day prior to entering the Museum.

What will the Hall of Fame’s hours of operation be?
From now through Sept. 5, the Hall of Fame will be open from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. You can purchase your tickets in advance by visiting www.startuprecroot.com/tickets, or reach a member of the Admissions and Membership Sales team by calling (607) 547-0397 or via email at [email protected].
Can I book a Special Experience – Museum Tour, Custom Tour or Artifact Spotlight – for my visit?

Such an amazing place. The baseball Hall of Fame does a fantastic job of telling the story of baseball in America. From artifacts to stories to interactive media to the plaques themselves. It is a must visit for every baseball fan!
Can I book a school field trip?
Yes. Please contact our Education team for the latest information about school field trip bookings. Can I bring a beverage into the Museum?
At this time, guests are permitted to bring sealed water bottles into the Museum. Other beverages, and food, are not allowed within the Museum.
Can I leave my coat or belongings in any location within the Museum during my visit?
Yes, the Museum’s coat check is available.
What are timed tickets?
Timed ticketing provides each guest with a specific time and date to enter the Hall of Fame.
With timed ticketing, is there a limit to the amount of time I can remain in the Museum?
No. Your timed ticket only dictates when you enter the Museum. You may leave and reenter any time that day prior to closing.
How can I reserve a timed admission ticket for my upcoming visit?
Timed admission tickets are available online on a first-come, first-served basis. They can be reserved up to 90 days in advance by members of the Hall of Fame’s Membership Program, or purchased up to 60 days in advance by the general public. Guests are encouraged to reserve their tickets online at www.startuprecroot.com in advance of their visit.
How do I register my Museum membership for free admission?
Before reserving your free tickets, please click here. Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance of your ticket reservation, which can then be made here. Members seeking assistance in booking tickets online may call (607) 547-0397 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday-Friday. In most instances, our membership team can help you reserve your tickets over the phone. Due to the timed ticketing procedures now in place, we encourage members to reserve tickets in advance of their visit.
Well worth a long trip from Los Angeles! You need four to four-and-a-half hours to read and see all three floors. The moving 20-minute theater movie brought my husband and I to tears.
What if I did not purchase my tickets in advance?
We strongly encourage all guests to purchase their tickets in advance so that you may enter the Museum when it best fits your schedule. If you did not purchase tickets in advance and all of the available tickets for the time period when you arrive have not been sold, you may purchase a ticket and enter immediately. If all of the tickets have been sold, you will be able to purchase a ticket for the next available time, and return to the Museum at the specified time to begin your tour.
How can I use tickets to the Hall of Fame that I’ve already purchased, or have received prior to the implementation of timed admission tickets?
All valid tickets will be honored as part of the next available timeslot when presented in-person to the ticket booth.
If my plans change after purchasing timed tickets, can I return or exchange them for a more convenient time?
Timed ticket purchases can be rescheduled for another available date and time slot, or refunded, as long as the request is made at least 24 hours in advance. To request a refund, or to reschedule your ticketed time, please call (607) 547-0397 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. from Monday-Friday.
MUSEUM EXHIBITS AND ACCESS
Will I be able to see all of the exhibits in the Museum?
All exhibit spaces are open and functional. Upon entering the Museum, each guest may request a free rubber-tipped stylus to use when interacting with buttons or touch-screen interactives within the Museum.
A must for any baseball fan. The Hall itself is church-like and gives the true fan chills just to stand there.
Will I be able to watch the Hall of Fame’s welcome film, “Generations of the Game”?
Yes. The “Generations of the Game” film is running regularly during Museum hours in our Grandstand Theater.
Will the Discovery Tour scavenger hunt be available for my kids?
Yes, we will continue to offer the Discovery Tour, which is designed to help kids through the entire Museum during their visit. The Discovery Tour sheet can be picked up upon entrance at the admission desk. Completed tours can be turned in with the staff member located at the entrance to the Museum Store for a prize.

Is the Hall of Fame’s Library open to the public?
At this time, the Giamatti Research Center is closed to walk-in visitors, but open to research appointments made at least one week in advance. To make a request to have a scan or copy of material sent to you or to make an appointment, you may reach the research center at either 607-547-0330 or [email protected].
Is the Museum Store open?
The Museum Store is following the same business hours as the Hall of Fame. A ticket to the Museum is not necessary for entry. At this time, the Hall of Fame requires all unvaccinated guests to wear masks and practice physical distancing.
Will there be any changes to the Plaque Gallery?
All plaques will remain available to view. Please note that plaques for Class of 2020 Hall of Fame members Derek Jeter, Marvin Miller, Ted Simmons and Larry Walker are scheduled to be available for viewing in the Plaque Gallery on the evening of Wednesday. Sept. 8, following the 2021 Induction Ceremony that is scheduled for that afternoon.
Are any programming events currently planned to take place in the Museum?
The Museum’s Visitor Guide, as well as team-specific Starting Nine lineups, are available to guests upon entry at the admission desk or online at http://www.startuprecroot.com/. The Hall of Fame continues to offer virtual programming elements online, with information about scheduled events available at http://www.startuprecroot.com/events.
Do I have to wear a face mask?

Will those in the Museum be practicing physical distancing?
We ask that all unvaccinated guests practice physical distancing by maintaining a minimum distance of six feet from those outside of their party.
It's heaven for any baseball fan and it's a great little town. Everyone is very friendly!
Will I be interacting with staff members at a close distance?

Is hand sanitizer available at the Museum?
Yes. More than 25 hand sanitizing stations are available within the Museum, and hand washing stations are available in the washrooms.
Can I use the elevator to access different floors?
We ask that guests who are able to please take the stairs. The elevator is reserved for those who are unable to use the stairs and is designated for use by one visiting party at a time. Elevators, along with other high-traffic areas, will be regularly sanitized. Each guest will receive a rubber-tipped stylus that can be used when pressing buttons in the elevator.
Can I use cash?
We are accepting cash transactions, as well as non-cash forms of payment, at the admission booth and in the Museum Store.
Will the Hall of Fame provide a wheelchair to those in need?
We encourage guests to bring their own wheelchair. However, if they are unable to do so, wheelchairs will remain available to guests in need and will be sanitized prior to use. Please see a Visitor Services attendant upon arrival.
How long will these procedures remain in place?
The Hall of Fame’s safety procedures will be continuously re-evaluated given changes to our current circumstances.
